Week 2 of Snappy H’appy Photo Challenge

This week’s Snappy H’appy challenge hosted by weliveinaflat & firebonnet

is HDR and saturation. Doug showed me how to experiment with saturation using Adobe ImageReady CS again.

Here are some practice saturation pictures:

here we super saturated Zeke’s face! You can tell how he has a blip of blue in his brown eye when you super saturate it!

Here is my favorite of Zeke’s friend, Murtagh, the turtle:

And for our Official Photo Challenge, my ooooold phone actually managed to download the HDR fx app! First thing its downloaded in months. Here is…

Next week’s challenge is to use watercolor effects, which I love, I already have a bunch to choose from!

  1. Awesome! My favourite must be Murtagh, the turtle. He looks so happy to be colourful 😛 and in the sun. Interesting how the saturation turned Zeke orange. The HDR shows the background really clearly, versus the hazier look the the distance. All depends on which you prefer and what you are trying to tell with your pictures. Thank you for sharing and I cannot wait to see your watercolour images now that you have set me up to anticipate it, haha! 😛

  8. I like the turtle best, but really find the over saturated photo of Zeke’s face (and beautiful eyes) very interesting too. Isn’t it amazing all the things you can do with photo apps?

    • It really has given me an appreciation for editing. Doug is always messing around with photos and I’ve always said, why don’t you just leave them alone! But now I see why he does it (;

      • Lucky you to have someone there to help! In this household I am the person helping my husband…when I can figure out what I am doing.
